a useful ingredient for your raw food kitchen

Date paste is a useful sweetener in the raw food kitchen as you can use it in all manner of desserts and it keeps well for up to five days in the fridge. It also freezes well.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup (140g) dates, pitted
¼ cup (60ml) water

METHOD

1. In a blender, whizz the pitted dates and the water together.
2. You may need to keep scraping down the dates from the sides of the blender.
3. Continue to blend until smooth.
4. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
