ESSENTIALS | Warming Foods for Winter Months

On this Essentials two day course, you will learn how to use fresh ingredients, herbs and spices to make delicious and wonderfully flavoured plant-based raw food for when the temperature drops.

Using all the equipment you would expect to find in the raw food kitchen such as a high speed blender, juicer and dehydrator, you will learn a variety of techniques to create warm raw food and some comforting dishes which will help to take the chill off in colder months. This is for you if you LOVE eating a high raw plant based diet but struggle when the woolly socks and scarves come out.

The course is entirely raw, plant based and free from refined sugar, dairy and gluten.

During the course you will learn to make warming raw drinks and breakfasts, comforting soups, some consoling mains and some reassuringly delicious desserts and treats.

On the menu

  • Ingredients and techniques for creating warmth with raw food
  • Chai latte and warm Oaxaca chocolate
  • Creamy fermented almond porridge with spiced winter fruit compote
  • Cream of broccoli soup
  • Cauliflower and spinach coconut curry
  • Mushroom kofkas, spicy tomato sauce, caramelized onions and smoked aubergine ‘bacon’
  • Sous vide spiced plums with oat crumble and whipped coconut cream
  • Chocolate sponge pudding with warm chocolate sauce and vanilla cream
  • Dehydrated brownie bars topped with caramel and enrobed in chocolate.

This is a guide to the activities that will make up your course. The final recipes will depend on seasonal availability.

Lunch is provided each day, and you will take home the most delicious takeaway on the Saturday evening and treats that you make at the end of the course.You will have your own workstation and equipment for a full hands on experience and each course includes a Deliciously Raw Culinary School bag with notes to take away.

Refund Policy: The first 20% of the course fee (s) is deemed as a non-refundable deposit and will be payable in the event of the participant cancelling their place on the programme. For an 80% refund, cancellation must be made at least twelve weeks prior to the start of the programme. For a 50% refund, cancellation must be made at least eight weeks prior to the start of the programme. For a 25% refund, cancellation must be made at least four weeks prior to the arrival date. If a participant cancels within four weeks of the start date of the programme, the total payment is non-refundable.
